Title: Not Heroes Rating: PG13 Fandoms: Supernatural/Heroes (Sam/Nathan) Disclaimer: Supernatural and Heroes are not mine. Summary: They're not heroes. They're too sharp and unclean. ( Read more... )
Oh, that was perfect. I loved this: "They were fucked up boys bathing in the light of heroes but never shining themselves." So true, though hopefully Sam's gonna get to be a hero next Thursday!
On one hand, it's great when they finally get to show just how heroic they are (even if they don't see it that way). However, it NEVER ends well for them.
This is very nice. I really like the parallel you drew between Sam and Nathan with this point:
“I was just trying to do the right thing,” they say, but the road paved with good intentions dropped off at the end and they turned back to realize they’d left everyone else behind. Bloody and broken and, “I never meant for that to happen,” as they put them back together with glue and tape.
I think that really resonates with both characters and their actions.
I must confess I inadvertently LOL'd at "invisible blood" because it made me think of the man in my icon.
