San Diego Comic Con/The Tribune Panel
Stargazer 2002/08/06 04:51 AM

As was previously mentioned in an earlier thread about the convention, this was a combined panel for the Tribune shows: “Andromeda,” “Mutant X” and “Adventure, Inc.” The panel consisted of Mr. Henry Urick, Vice President of Marketing for Tribune, Ms. Lexa Doig, Ms. Laura Bertram, Mr. Seth Howard, Mr. Jon Shea, Ms. Victoria Pratt, Ms. Laura Lee Smith and Mr. Forbes March.
....
For those interested in “Mutant X,” I will mention that Mr. Jon Shea spoke of changes to the show for the new season. The show will have new producers, new set designs, less of a sterile feel for the show, more humor. The show will be moving into a different direction (sounds kind of familiar, doesn’t it?) Mr. Shea was quite excited about the new season of “X.”
....
Somehow it came up on who could kick more butt, Trance or Shalimar. Mr. Howard mentioned that the “Mutant X” folks could show up on “Andromeda,” but Laura said that Trance wouldn’t kick Pratt butt, she’d find another way.

MUTANT X UPDATE

The powers of the Mutant X team members will continue to evolve in the second season of the syndicated show. At the recent Comic-Con International in San Diego, members of the cast explained some of the changes.
....
"The last episode of Season 1, all of our powers were evolving. And Emma got a psionic blast," said Lauren Lee Smith, who plays Emma. "Emma's kicking a little more butt and that's given her a little more confidence. And she's still got her telepathy, so she's still receiving these emotions, but now she's got this extra kick which is a lot of fun."
