Playgirl 1/99: Victor Webster, on Provacateuse Victor Webster: Day Dream
Lookin' Fine in '99: Perhaps he's not yet a household name, but this 6'4" lover of perfection is the hottest thing to hit daytime television since Bo crashed Hope's wedding! The Days Of Our Lives newcomer, who plays tempting troublemaker Nocholas Alamain, is just beginning to set fire to the small screen and is sure to roar to full blaze in the millenium.
PLAYGIRL Appeal: Let's see here... He's a Latin lover with warm, welcoming brown eyes, a blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do, a former Armani model, an animal lover, a budding Hollywood talent, a charity volunteer, he's single and best of all: He posed in the most provocative manner for PLAYGIRL's January issue! Need we say more?
Coming Attractions: Victor as a full plate for the millenium, with his Nicholas churning up plenty of dirt in Salem. Beyond that, this uber-hunk hopes to make it to the large screen someday and maybe--just maybe--find the right girl. Till then, we'll be watchin' and wishin'!

Mexia Daily News 7/6/99: Victor Webster Victor Webster: Never Give Up
by Seli Groves Daytime Dial
"I did whatever I could to pay for lessons," Victor said. That included construction work, selling shoes, waiting on tables and modeling. Modeling was something that I never really thought about, but when the opportunity came to do it, and I learned how well it paid, I said yes. By the time I got my black belt in Tae Kwon Do, I realized I had also established myself as a model, which became a very important turning point in my life."
Victor's family moved to California where his modeling credits from Canada landed him with one of the top agencies. "Before I knew it," he said, "I was doing runway work in Italy, Spain, and France, and print work for some of the top designers." (He's modest about naming them, but they included Versace and Armani among others.) Another turning point came when he started doing television commercials for spots such as Scope, Secret, Coke, and Vidal Sassoon.

Ibsys On The Set 7/31/00: Victor Webster Versatile Hunk Victor Webster Hits His Stride: 'Days Of Our Lives' Star Talks About Rise To Fame
Model Citizen
"I've been a bartender, a waiter, I've taught martial arts, I was a construction worker, I've sold doughnuts door-to-door ..." Webster's list of odd jobs before starting to act full time is almost too long to mention. But it was a successful stint as a high-fashion model that would eventually bring him to Hollywood. After working briefly as a stockbroker in the U.S., Webster started modeling. He soon found himself strutting the world's runways for such fashion luminaries as Versace, Armani and Valentino. What did he think of his fashionable life? "It's not hard work, but the lifestyle is hard. You're living out of a bag and out of hotels. You can't plan anything," Webster tells me.
But in the end, Webster got out of the business: "I learned that it wasn't the business for me because all it involves is looks."
He says that acting does involve looks, but one doesn't have to be good-looking to be a good or successful actor. "There are exceptionally beautiful (actors) because of what they give you (onscreen)," Webster says.
With this in mind, Webster started auditioning for commercials and taking acting classes. "I didn't want to be a pretty face -- a guy who looked good, but couldn't act," he says.

Visimag 4/02: Victor Webster Live Wire: Mutant X's Victor Webster tells Bryan Cairns why he doesn't want his character to become a sex symbol. Some hope!
Ranging from construction worker and shoes salesman to bouncer and stockbroker, he was the proverbial jack-of-all-trades before breaking into modeling. Though he worked with such fashion big-wigs as Versace, Armani, and International Male, Webster says of the catwalk game that "It wasn't fulfilling enough," so numerous commercials followed, before his first big acting break came in fairy-tale fashion when a customer at the restaurant where he was waiting tables in Orange County recommended sending in a resume and portfolio for the daytime soap Sunset Beach.

Black Belt 11/02: Victor Webster Soap Star Rising: Taekwondo Stylist Victor Webster Says the Martial Arts Saved Him from Trouble with the Law and Put Him on the Path to Stardom
by Sara Fogan
It took some times for Webster to find the path that eventually led him to the martial arts and acting. He endured a few false career starts, including a stint as a stockbroker and two years as the owner of an import-export company. "I was trying to find my calling," he says. "I was running away from the fact that I didn't believe in myself. I thought if I didn't try it, then I wouldn't fail." Eventually he got into modeling, and he spent time on the runway in Italy and Spain. He ultimately decided that it wasn't for him, but his stellar auditions for various commercials encouraged him to try acting. He moved to Los Angeles, where he lived on Oriental noodles for nine months while spending most of his money on acting classes. Since then, there has been no stopping him. Webster's advice for success in life and the martial arts is simple: Learn as much as you can from as many experts as you can find. "I not only want to take the best that I can find from somebody, but I want to take the best I can find from a lot of people who are well-rounded," he says.
It is important to always strive to improve your talents and not just coast along, says Webster, who was recently voted one of People magazine's Top 50 bachelors. "If you focus on bettering yourself and learning from people all the time, you can pick where you want to go in life."

Victor Webster: 5/5/02 Zap 2 It Every Tattoo Tells a Story
(Sunday, May 05 10:00 PM) By Kate O'Hare
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - There are as many reasons to get tattoos as there are people who have them. In the case of "Mutant X" star Victor Webster, it's about reminding himself of what's important (even if he can't see two of the tattoos without a mirror). On the underside of one upper arm, he has a dragon, symbolizing mystery and wisdom, which he got in his late teens. Asked why he chose such an odd location, Webster says, "I was modeling at the time, and, underneath my arm, I can hide it really easily without having to put makeup on it."
Then there's the Asian symbol on his back. "It means 'Never give up.' That I got when I got my black belt [in Tae Kwon Do]. It has flames over the top of it. It's burning desire to always go after my dreams and my goals."
"I have another one on my back that's a peace symbol, that's actually a dream catcher made out of bones and feathers. So, it's peace, but the dream catcher is to always remember that while maintaining my spirituality, a peacefulness in my center, that I'm continuing to focus on my dreams."
Webster designed all his own tattoos. As to whether more are on the way, he says, "They're addictive. I don't know. I'm holding off for a while, a couple of years, until something really means something to me. Then I'll go ahead."

The SciFi World 6/8/12: Victor Webster Victor Webster interview
8th June 2012
Gilles Nuytens: You've done many things before becoming an actor, from stock broker to company owner, so what made you decide to change and start acting?
Victor Webster: Well, I think I just was confused with what I wanted to do in life you know, I was all over the place, I was travelling all over the world, doing some modeling, I was teaching martial arts, I sold shoes, I just had no idea what I wanted to do. So I got back from a trip to Italy, I was there for about 8 months and said to myself: you know I wanna take some acting classes to help me out with commercial auditions, cause I wanna do some commercials while I'm gonna figure out what I wanna do with my life.
