THE GOSSIP: Valentines Past…

Hearts - zillions of them strewn everywhere - is what Days of Our Lives' Victor Webster (Nicholas) recalls about his most memorable Feb 14. The spectacular display was a gift from the girl he was dating during his senior year of high school. "I was at work and my mom let her into the house to set the whole thing up," Victor recounts. "I came home, walked into my room, and it was amazing. There were tiny hearts hanging from the ceiling and all over the floor. It looked like this huge heart factory. There were poems, chocolates and flowers everywhere."

Victor's mom informed him of the hours his girlfriend had taken creating the setting. "It was pretty gratifying to know she had spent so much time and effort on me," Victor says. "It wasn't about money. It was all from the heart, and that's what Valentine's Day is all about. It was by far the most romantic and kindest thing anyone's ever done for me. Needless to say, I rewarded her. I took her to a nice dinner and then showed her how much I loved her."

Transcript of Yahoo! Chat with Days' Matt Cedeno (Brandon) and Victor Webster (Nicholas)- July 21, 1999

LittleR36 asks: What are your nationalities?
Matt: I'm half Cuban, and my mother's Irish-English.
Victor: Spanish, Italian, German, French, English Scottish! Nationality Stew! Want a bit?
....
Timbergrl101 asks: Who are ya'll's role models?
Matt: Growing up, my Dad... I'd go to him for advice. A good man.
Victor: Mama. She was a great role model. My Dad wasn't around much when I was younger. For the past seven years, my stepfather helped to shape me as a working class person who took care of themselves and didn't live off society. But Mama was number 1.
....
MandaManda_faithgirl asks: How do you keep yourself centered, when you are the center of attention?
Victor: Family, my Mom is a big influence, my stepfather. Finding your own spirituality, because you need to find what keeps you at peace: reading, excercising, talking. You have to have a relaxing time, and you have to keep the job you have in perspective. You are not a super star, it is a job.
Victor: If you remember that then you won't become some big-headed, wanna-be Hollywood super star.
....
Gyps14 asks: what did you wanna be when you were younger? Did you ever consider of being a Fire man or a post man something like that?
Victor: I wanted to be a police officer because that is what my father was.
Matt: I wanted to be a veterinarian.

Stodi20 asks: do you guys have pets?
Victor: I have three cats, Sasha, Bella and Spanky.
....
MandaManda_faithgirl asks: Did your family ridicule you about wanting to be actors?
Victor: My family was 100% supportive. My mom is my biggest fan.

Debonair DAREDEVIL
American Fitness, Sept, 1999 by Bonnie Siegler

Born in Calgary, Canada, Webster grew up in a very close-knit family that emphasized spirituality and a healthy physical existence. "My mother is a very spiritual person and because we are so close, I too am very spiritual," he says. As corny as it may sound, Webster lives his life by the proverbial golden rule. "I'm not better than anybody else just because I've had opportunities come my way," he says. "I still believe you should treat others as you want them to treat you. I believe in karma and all the principles that create good karma. Go that extra step."
....
Webster spends his free time working with charities and staying close with family. "One of my biggest regrets in life is not keeping in touch with family that has since passed away," he says. "I believed they would be around forever. But I think a lot of my health and happiness has to do with family. My parents now live an hour away from me, so I spend a lot of time with them. Today, I went shopping with my mom. She bought a dress and a pair of shoes with my definite approval--and not just because she's my mom, but because she looked great!"

Q and A

Q: Are you close to your family?
A: My family members are the most influential, caring, important people on this planet to me. I have a wonderful friendship with my mother Roswitha who guides me through the rough times in my life and gives me a positive outlook. My brother Vince is always fun to hangout with, a definite big brother-little brother relationship. He amazes me with a wealth of information he has about almost anything. He has an extremely big heart, even though he may not know it sometimes. I am not as close as I would like to be with my real father Jack, but I am trying to change that. He is an extremely strong person set in his ways and very determined, always in control. I hope to emulate him in those respects and more. Ron my step father has been a very positive influence in my life a has helped guide me in the right direction.

Interview with Continuum's Victor Webster: Clothes Optional Round 2
Friday, May 25, 2012

Victor Webster is a born and raised Calgarian who moved to LA with his mom and step-dad when he was 13. Of course, as is the case with most people who move to the city of smog, he stayed. This was his first trip to Calgs in 15 years…which was almost inexcusable to me, but I didn’t bring up my disappointment and held back my eye roll (pat on back). For those Calgary folk who are wondering, he went to St. Williams Elementary and St. Bonaventure and lived in Maple Ridge, ‘across the street from South Centre’ and in Fish Creek. He wouldn’t give me addresses, and frankly, I think he thought I was weird for asking.

Exclusive Interview with Continuum Star Victor Webster: Victor Webster talks about his background, acting and season two of Continuum in this exclusive interview
Posted on: May 9 2013 by Robin

Webster has an extremely diverse background. He has competed professionally in martial arts, but became a stockbroker in order to be able to better provide for his family. However, Webster commented that he had an ethical problem with that position. He said, “I was able to talk people into giving me their money for their kids’ college education and not knowing what was going to happen with the stocks, I felt guilty when the stock went down. So I hated doing that.” He then turned to another form of business as the owner of an import/export company, but also wasn’t excited about that, stating that doing the same thing every day just wasn’t making him happy.
