Dresden Files "The Dresden Files" (The Sci Fi Channel)
One of the most popular shows regularly appearing on the Sci Fi Channel is "The Dresden Files." This supernatural thriller picks up more and more viewers each week as the enigmatic Harry Dresden works his cases. Paul Blackthorne plays Harry and Valerie Cruz is seen as Police Lieutenant Murphy. Terrence Mann plays Bob, Dresden's ghostly assistant. This week's episode is titled "Soul Beneficiary" and it shows what is right with this unique series. Harry comes up against a sorcerer of sorts named Sharon (Kerry Lai Fatt) who can transpose bodies. This means she can kill them off and she can bring them back, with the victim never being any the wiser. Harry gets brought into this situation when a potential client named Kelton Franks (Hamish McEwan) comes to him for advise and ends up dying in his office. When this man's wife (Karen Cliché) comes to make inquiries about his death, she drops dead too. So you can see that Harry is forced to take action and investigate.

Logline When a man who has been having premonitions that he’s about to die drops dead in Dresden’s office, Harry is plunged into a bizarre murder plot that ends up revealing a dark secret from Bob’s past.
Synopsis Kelton Franks walks into Dresden’s office and tells Harry he’s been having strange premonitions that he’s about to die. Harry thinks Kelton’s problem is psychological, not supernatural, and refers him to a shrink. But just then Kelton keels over and dies. Was it a simple heart attack, as the coroner insists? Or is there something more insidious going on? When Kelton’s body goes missing from the morgue, Harry soon discovers that nothing in this case is as it seems. In order to help him crack it, Bob is forced to reveal an explosive secret from his mortal past.

The Sci Fi World 9/26/07: Karen Cliche Karen Cliche Interview
Interview by Gilles Nuytens for The Scifi World Transcript by Mathieu Pesin (Angel10) - Second read by Rene Burl
Gilles Nuytens: Can you speak about your experience on “The Dresden Files”?
Karen Cliche: Oh that was a great experience. I did that in December last year, a lot of the same crew was from Mutant X, which was great, so it was so fun for me to go to work and see my old crew from a few years back. And Paul was just a great, great person to work with. Again, it was that genre sci-fi type show, and I really like that, I thought the storyline was really interesting, I got to play a really interesting character, very double-sided, it was a lot of fun, it was about 6 days of shooting and I had a great time. I heard it’s cancelled, which is too bad.
Gilles Nuytens: I haven’t watched all the show yet, but I like what I’ve seen.
Karen Cliche: Yeah, I did too. I really liked that storyline. I liked the concept.
