Mutant X FAQ: Who wrote the music in Mutant X?
The Music of Mutant X
The Mutant X theme song was composed by Lou Natale, who also wrote the score for the first season of Mutant X, assisted by Igor Vrabac. The theme song can be found on his website and Television Tunes. [Trivia point: According to Hollywood Up Close, Leslie West of the band Mountain was asked to submit a Mutant X theme of his own, but lost to Lou Natale's composition.]
Seasons two and three were scored by Donald Quan, assisted by Daniel Heavenward, Maria Molinari (season 3), and Alison Chung-Yan (episodes 309 " No Exit" and 310 " Brother's Keeper").
Though Tribune Entertainment never compiled an official Mutant X soundtrack for commercial release, some of the music can be found from their original artists. For example, musician Brian Pickett of the band Voodoo Highway has generously offered to send mp3 versions any of his Mutant X soundtrack songs (eg: "The Chase," "That's Enough," "Ridiculous," "Trouble", "Double Blonde," "Fun with Lead Pipes", "Black Cat Trippin'", "Happily Dictated", "Perfect Little Place," "Preposterous"), to Mutant X fans who email him requests. In 2007, I contacted composers Lou Natale and Donald Quan, who were kind enough to send me the following list of specific songs they used in the Mutant X score.
Episode 101, " Shock of the New":
1. The opening instrumental music is "BOMB PANIC" [4:39], written by Matteo Dimaria of M1, who also composed 16 additional original tracks for the first season. Many thanks to activout for finding this track here!

Episode 119, " Nothing to Fear":
The concerto Emma DeLauro listens to in order to distract Henry Voight is the SUMMER PRESTO from Vivaldi's The Four Seasons.
Episode 122, " A Breed Apart":
1. The song in the teaser is "CRIMEWAVE", performed by Empire XL, written by Laura Skene.
2. Toward the end of Act 1, "DON'T STOP," performed by M1, composed by Matteo Dimaria.
Episode 321, " Cirque des Merveilles":
The song playing as Brennan Mulwray enters The Chamber of Souls is "JUNKIE," performed by Tia Carrere, and co-written by Tia Carrere and Donald Quan.
