Wow, Gaeta vs. Cottle? So immeasurably awesome. And way to sneak in a light moment! I hardly thought it possible in this fic. ;)
You've really captured just the right feel of the actives inhabiting their personalities right off the chair. It was just great. And Gaeta ordering Cottle to put out his cigarette? So much win.

I couldn't believe it when I saw you were going to have Felix barrel over and start engaging Kara. WTF was Bill thinking not telling her in advance what was going on? What the hell was he thinking in just throwing up his hands and letting that meeting happen without prepping Kara? *shakes head*
And speaking of WTF, Gaeta's going to clean up the mess he made???? Grr...Bill. When did you ever consider making Sam clean up the mess he made shooting Felix??? Making Felix operate on him to save his life under those circumstances actually disturbs me, even though I know Felix was such a good guy, he would have done whatever it took to save Sam's life. But it's not his choice! It's so frakked up.

I think Bill didn't realize that Gaeta WOULD speak to Kara. He's not quite getting yet that this isn't Gaeta. Dr. Stevenson would talk to Kara. :)
