Thank god for weekends
Rachel left for Gotham last night. Her flight was delayed (of course), but she got there okay and her first impressions of the city seem to be good. Maybe she's just an optimist. I've been talking to a lot of optimists in Gotham, recently. Too bad there aren't more on the Hill.
I did interview a young man this week, Miles Skinner. He's an ex-marine. Seems enthusiastic. May even be able to take on the Xerox machine (which has rebelled since it figured out that Ianto was no longer here to take care of it).

Taking Beth to Judo today. I thank my lucky stars for mutant flexibility sometimes, now that she's all, "aha! ninja thumb twist!" every five minutes.
Dylan's baptism and the accompanying BBQ will be next Friday on Friday the 15th of August. Although I know that many/most of you won't be able to make it, you are of course all invited.
