"It's fine," Hajime croaked, head between his knees.
"Do you need a back massage? I, I can try to..."
"I'm fine."

"I'm fine, Chopper." With Hajime's eyes shut, Chopper couldn't tell if that furrowing of the brow was from another bout of illness, or from irritation. He didn't really like either option.
Quite suddenly, the boy straightened up on the bed, and Chopper gave a small squeak of protest to see the strain Hajime was making to keep a straight face. "You don't need to stop studying. Go on, I'll be all right."
The budding doctor shook his head. "Y-you shouldn't push yourself, a vasovagal response isn't something to shrug off!"
"I can take it. This is your room, too, and I won't get in the way of your studies just because--"
Enough was enough. Chopper was suddenly much taller than his roommate, and pushed Hajime gently back onto his bed. "Lie down. I've got a book I've been needing to read anyway." Even as ill as he was, Hajime looked ready to protest, before a firm look from Chopper cut him off. "Doctor's orders!"
The young cheerleader was still too proud to say it, but Chopper recognized the glimmer of thanks in his eyes all the same.
