The chase down the street in the blazing sun did nothing to deter Derrick. That guy was here. Derrick slid down the stair's railing on his brother's skateboard and continued to narrow in on the melody that had been seared into his mind. Derrick could never forget it. That guy ducked around the corner, but being out of sight meant little to a music empath when he could still hear him all too clearly.
Derrick didn't know what he would do when he caught up, but he would make sure that guy was never heard in this area ever again.
Prompt: suits
Part of Derrick knew dancing in the suit now only created a security risk later. However, every time he snuck out of the Institute, the suit and shades were present ( ... )

Face down to the paper covered surface of his desk, Reki groaned. The bottle of aspirin in the desk drawer turned up empty today, and he was at the mercy of the throbbing in his temples. Someone could bring him something if he could just reach his book, resting closed on the sagging couch across the office, but every time Reki lifted his head, the world spun. Still, he had no other choice...
Two steps in, Reki slumped to the floor in a heap and decided to take the rest of the day off.
Boom. Boom. Pound.

"Argh! This is ridiculous!" Fujio crumpled up that notice and threw it at the mirror that showed him with Reki's appearance. Then his cell phone rang. He had half a notion to throw his phone as well. After another ring, Fujio went to answer it.

"How do I get from here to where you're at? How does everything become okay?" Derrick shouted at the bright stars in the dark sky and waited for the answer he knew wouldn't come. He curled in on himself.
