When he opened his present it was all Mei Wan could do to keep from giggling. Still the look on his face was absolutely priceless!

Ulquiorra, for what it was worth, just sat and line faced at the ukulele he now held gingerly in his lap. Looking up at his sometimes sparring partner one eyebrow raised just a tiny bit before he said one word. "Why?"

This was the straw that broke the metaphorical camel's back, Mei Wan collapsed into a giggling heap and it was some time before she was actually able to answer him. "I don't know. It just reminds me of you somehow, that's all." That said, she took the instrument from him and then casually settled onto his lap.

Had he said sometimes sparring partner? She was kind of his girlfriend too or at least it really seemed that way. It was awkward at the best of times so he really couldn't tell. This is why he tended to hate social situations. Still, even he wasn't entirely immune to the fact that it was nice having a hot girl sitting on his lap.

"Now you just need to learn how to play it." Mei Wan murmured, snuggling in against him contentedly. She liked the contact and the fact that it still threw him off every time she touched him made it all the more appealing. She lived to rock his world after all and he always made it so easy.

"Once you do I'll show you how you're really supposed to dance the hula." The look in her dark eyes promised a whole lot more than an innocent dance. Maybe he'd actually learn how to play after all.
