Poor Mackenzie....ashaelaAugust 7 2007, 04:40:03 UTC
Although I like the name "Kenzie" as a nickname better than I like "Mack." I'm not too fond of her grandmother, though.
Let me also take a second to say, as part of the mostly-silent majority, I really enjoy the story. There's nothing about it that's enough to shake my suspension of disbelief.... And after your previous entry, I thought I should speak up a bit and let you know.

I've got a better one - my fiancee's name is Kinzi - which her family decided to call her when they realized Mackenzie would apparently be too cumbersome. She doesn't even understand why Kenzie wouldn't have worked.
BTW, love the story. I've been reading for a couple months now, and I think it's great. Never mind what people complain about, your system is your system, and it makes plenty of sense.

Really? I thought the fact that her Friends call her one half of her name while her Grandmother calls her the other was an interesting way to separate those parts of her life. Different people see different parts of her, but only she calls herself by her full name, only she sees the whole... Too many english lessons deconstructing other people's literature...? Maybe

Best intentions don't make someone a good person though...
