Below, my somewhat generic entry for the 2016 ConFuzzled flash fiction thingie (5 sentences or fewer; theme: Carnival of the Night). No reaction whatsoever from the judges!
Roll up, roll up, come one, come all!
Forget your troubles, join the throng.
Come see the freaks, come find your stall.
It's like you've been here all along.
Come all, come one, and stay the night: the pact is sealed at dawn's first light.
