Beware. The following entry is long and the cuts are image heavy. My report on my trip to Hokkaido (北海道) at last... It's been almost a month now since then. Looking at all the snow on the pictures on the screen and trees in full blossom out of the window actually make it seem like a trip I did months ago. I'm so glad I went! Thanks to global warming ( Read more... )

Hello panda_ne March 8 2007, 22:47:11 UTC
I'm from the akame_ community and was looking for japanese to english translators and saw that you are like awesome on it. I am looking for translators to translate yaoi/shonen-ai manga and wondered if you'd be interested in helping us with a project. It'd be awesome having someone like you around us.

And even if you're not interested in that, would you like... be me friend, please please? You've achieved two of my biggest dreams and I'm very interested in your experiences. So... I hope to hear from you soon.

Nice to meet you \(^o^)/
I'm afraid I wouldn't be of much help to the community, since English is not my native language ^^' It might sound akward if I did a translation. However, I'd be willing to translate in case you're as desperate enough as to ask non-native speakers for help.

Apart from that, I'd be glad to add you to my friends list ^.~
I wonder what two of your biggest dreams are, though. One of them should be going to Japan, but the other one...?

Ah well, you see... we have native japanese translators as well, so it's not a problem, that's where the proofreaders come to rescue, so don't worry about it. Besides, in my opinion your English is even more acceptable than some of the native English speakers xD

About my dreams, indeed, one of them is visiting Japan, and the other one... well I read on your profile you're in Humboldt Universität, and man, even if it's for the restroom, I wanna go there.

You see, I'm a Modern Languages' student, majoring in English, but my minor is German (besides, I take Russian, Japanese and Greek). So being able to be in Germany even for a day is like a big dream of mine. Hehe.. so now you know :3

Okay, you convinced me XD I`ll do what I can to help you. よろしく。
Just tell me what to do ^^

Haha, believe me, you wouldn`t want to see the restrooms at Humboldt University XD At least not those of the main building, they`re really gross X/
It`s kind of surprising actually, that my university still has such a good reputation abroad. Should you ever make it to Berlin, I`ll give you a free guided tour XDD

Yay!!! That's awesome. Shall I send you the first chapter of one of our projects then? You just tell me where can I contact you.

My contacts are on my profile, AIM, MSN, Skype, Jabber... you name it. I'm always online so I'll answer quickly.

So, is it really that bad? The University I mean. Man, I bet it's not worse than mine, we're now on strike for about 3 weeks, we're so losing our vacations, I'm so sad, I had plans for spring break ;-;

If I go to Berlin, I'll definitely take your word, eh!! :3

Okay, just send it to MusumeYZ@yahoo.co.jp. The easiest way to reach me if there's something urgent would be via ICQ. It's spring break until about the middle of April, so I'm online quite often. Just added you, BTW ^^

As for the reputation of my university ... well I don't know about the other faculties, but the institute for Japanese Studies certaonly has seen better days.

I hope the strike will end soon. Too bad about your plans >.

Ah man, it's been so long since I used ICQ... when I was 12-13 years old I think. I don't even have an account anymore xD Is that the only instant messenger you use? If it's like that I can download it.

I was wondering, can you use Sendspace? I uploaded the first chapter of the manga there, so if you can, I'll give you the link right away, how's that sound?

PD: You're online, you're online!! *hamsterdance*

You can add ICQ numbers to your AIM friendlist as well ^^ I also have AIM and MSN, but I hardly use them, sorry.

Sendspace's no problem, I even have an sccount myself XD

Guess what? You're online, too! *joinsindancing*

I'm sending you the link to your mail 'cuz I'm not supposed to share it in public xD

I think it's just entering the ICQ-Number instead of a AOL username ...

Just got your email. Downloading right now ^^
