I did it!!!!!
I actually managed to finish my "The Manpower!!" costume before I leave! I'm so happy ^.^
Sewing the top was pretty difficult. All those terrible foldings ... I was getting really desperate. But then, in my darkest hour (...), when I was about to throw it away, I thought it might look better if the cleavage was properly sewn and the sleeves added - and it did! Well, at least there's some more detail now on this top, which might distract from these foldings ^.^'
The skirt, on the other hand, was very easy to sew -the pattern basically consists of four squares- and very comfy. Somehow it makes my legs look even longer (I'm still not sure about whether this is good or bad).
What I love most about this costume is the cleavage. My first try looked somewhat odd but I think this version is pretty close to the original, isn't it?
I finished everything last saturday morning and because the weather was so nice that day, I persuaded my little sister to do a photo shoot on a small hill about 10 minutes from our flat.
OMAKE:
When I showed these pictures to my mom, she wouldn't believe that we shot them only a few mintues away from our flat. Well, it doesn't really look like Berlin at all. On some pictues the setting even reminds of a jungle ^^'

Guess what? The date of my departure is this Sunday (yeah, right, five days to go...) and I haven't packed anything yet. I'm afraid I will spend all saturday night packing my stuff. At least there's not much to pack, since I've got only 20 kg of free luggage (plus 5 kg of hand luggage!!!). Isn't this iniquitous? A friend of mine is going to the US this month and she's allowed 56 kg of luggage. Aaarggh! We're both going to stay abroad for one year. The only difference is that she could buy some clothes in the US, whereas I cannot, because I'm to tall for Japanese standards ...
I'm already getting homesick. I' m really lucky that I'm going together with some fellow students. Otherwise I wouldn't know how to stand being parted from my friends and family. I'm really afraid of looking into my sister's face on sunday. She'll cry. And I can't stand this. So I'll cry as well ... Fine.
But of course, there are a lot of things I'm looking forward to, as well. Meeting Natsuki, Taiki, Yuko, Natsumi and the other Japanese students I got to know during the past two years, for instance. I also hope I'll be able to meet some of the cosplayers I met at Cure. And -of course- I'll study hard to improve my Japanese skills!
Well then... This was my last post from Germany. Next time, I'll write about my experiences in Japan.
