Favorite Film, Book, and Song of 2010 (+ appearances of 2009)

I can't seem to find the "delete entry" button.  Is there one?

Anyway, let's answer the questions that I thought had answered, but livejournal made them disappear because, well, livejournal can be a dick.  So, let's answer the questions previously posed shall we?

What are my favorite movies, books and songs of 2010 so far?

EDIT
You've got to be shitting me.  I put something behind a lj-cut and that means that all my work just disappears and I don't even get an autosave version of my post?  Mother....I'm too tired to even chuck my computer across the room, but know that if it was earlier (or later), I would totally do it.  This is the second time that's happened! D:

Soo....to keep the size of this post at a reasonable length, I'm going to have to give you the abridged version.  Shit.  I had like analysis and everything. :\

Book
A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolick.  It's immersive, a time piece and redemption story, three of my favorite book themes wrapped up into one.  The style is full of long, lyrical sentences where so much happens and probably what Charles Dickens was aiming for in his work, but failed miserably at actually achieving.  The best way I can describe this book is butter.  Favorite book of winter 2009 are David Benioff's City of Thieves and Vince Flynn's Pursuit of Honor.  Go check all these books out when you get the chance.

Movie
Without a doubt, Steven Spielberg's Schindler's List.  I saw that movie for the first time this year and was completely blown away.  Excellent story telling, a magnificent soundtrack, and again--a redemption story.  What I love about Schindler's List is that you actually hate the guy for a good majority of the film.  It isn't until the last 30 minutes where you feel the weight of this man's guilt and change of heart.  This scene is probably one of the most gripping that I've ever seen on screen:

Favorite film of Winter of 2009: Princess and the Frog, without a question.  I love the story, the characters, the song, Disney being Disney, whatever.  And is it just me, or is "Friends on the Other Side" a much more fun song if you imagine Russia as Dr. Facilier and America as Prince Naveen and England or Canada as Laurence?

Song
James Morrison's "You Give Me Something"
