In 1989 senior management of Saatchi&Saatchi moved to Landsdowne House in Mayfair, a seven-storey, post-modern-style castle-like building. The Saatchi leased it for 25 years and unsurprisingly chose to occupy top floor. Since the only name on the facade was Saatchi&Saatchi, passers-by gained the false impression that they were the sole tenants. The right to place their name cost the company 4.6 million pounds per letter.
