[Hang on a second, this isn't - oh. OH. She recognizes this place. It's the last place she ever wanted to see again but...she's in Mayfield

That is because the urge to panic overrides logic in most instances. If more people simply took the time required of them to calm down and look at their situation rationally, I am certain there would be less panicking and more constructive questions asked.
Of course not! Panicking is an action performed due to lack of information and a perceived inability to acquire it! With both an ability to acquire this information and what I recall from my previous time here, I have absolutely no reason to panic whatsoever!
Then we will have to disagree on this matter, because from my perspective it is inexcusable for someone in my position to panic. To do so would be to waste valuable time that can be spent gathering more information and implementing strategies for survival.
While this may be the case, it is essential to be prepared, as in an environment like this danger can strike at any time. So even if all I can do is wait for something to happen, I will at least spend this otherwise wasted time strategizing for as many possible occurrences as time will allow.
Given my limited resources and barring the cooperation of everyone in Mayfield, these plans will inevitably need to be altered, but it is better than the alternative.
If more direct action were required of me, I would of course forgo my strategies in favor of that. And I recognize that it is unrealistic to expect to be able to output plans 24 hours a day for all seven days in a week. But that is what I expect to do for a majority of my time here. It is what I did for a majority of my time during my previous stay, and barring certain exceptional circumstances, it worked well.

I have very important things to do so it is best if I make my stay as short as possible. Having fun, as you put it, would be an obstacle to that goal.
