You know, the last time there was a massive black-out in Midgar, we had a ton of surprises about nine months later.

Just sayin'.

Why wouldn't you want to? I thought surprises were supposed to be for more than just one person to enjoy...

Yeah, well. This type of surprise definitely requires more than one person to enjoy. It's just not always the best for everyone involved, you know? It's the innocent ones who suffer from that.

Y'know... it'd kinda suck t' not have the 'surprise' follow you home if you left.

...Yeeeeaaah. And another reason to use protection! Seriously, this place sucks. I wouldn't want to think who'd be taking care of it once we left.

Well... I haven't seen any gutter rats around. But maybe they ain't had a city-wide power-outage before.

No way. That wouldn't make any sense. Power-outages aren't exactly required for that kind of thing, you know?

Ooh, what kind of surprises? Were they fun?

Protection from what? Are there things in the darkness?

I dunno. I guess it depends on the people involved. Not everyone's definition of fun is the same. Different people, different strokes, you know?

There's always things in the darkness! Just walk outside and you'd be one of them.

Surprises? What kind of surprises? Was some kind of mutagen released?!

[Slightly incredulous with disbelief.]

...Where exactly do you guys come from?! Don't they teach you about these things?

So these power outages are common, are they? Rrgh, how annoying!

I'm from the Nether Institute, Evil Academy, the most prestigious school in all the Netherworlds! I don't see why anyone would have to learn about some stupid blackout if it doesn't even do anything interesting.

That's not what I said! This thing, this whole thing's pretty much a new show. We've never had a black out before, all right?

[Eeeerch.]

Wait. You're from what academy?
