A/N: Written for drabblefix, prompt #12: when nobody is watching. I’m a semi-stalker to my crush. He doesn’t know, though. What he does know is that I like him (I told him, dammit). And nothing happened… we just talk and joke as friends…. but a relationship or dating? Nope, he’s not interested. At least he didn't stop talking/interacting with me.. we're in different groups of firends, so there'll be some distance almost always... almost.

She pretends to pay attention to the teacher, but her eyes are slightly fixed on the door. Always on the door.
Someone enters the classroom, but it’s not him. Never him.
(why does he always show up so late?)
It has become a routine, she knows. He will never sit next to her, she knows. He will never see her as more than a friend or a classmate.
But I can’t help it, she thinks as she avoids making eye contact once he finally arrives.
Because, when nobody is watching, she melts inside.
I wish things were different between us.
