Tonsilitis
Avery has tonsilitis. Again. It has been two months. I pretty much knew it was coming. It's like this: Avery gets tonsilitis and/or ear infections. We get antibiotics, I wait a month and three weeks. I think, "Hmm.. it's been a while since Avery was last sick..." By the end of the day I have that thought, her fever is spiking and she's very very sick... urgent care clinic, new round of antibiotics... repeat...
So her fever went from 99.1 to 103 in a single hour on the 6th.. but three days later, she's throwing up the medication the last two days, and I don't know what to do. She's allergic to penicillan, so she's getting pediazole. Over 10 percent of people who take it have a bad reaction. GREAT. But I can't get a new prescription until tomorrow. In the mean time, the fact that she doesn't throw up EVERY time she takes it is concerning because it means that it might not actually be the medication. Could be another problem... Pharmacist is urging me to get her checked again. And I can't go until tomorrow evening because it's closed. I HAVE to work tomorrow... and going to the hospital is a guaranteed 8 hour wait for a patient who will be triaged to least urgent... So tomorrow after work, another 2 hour wait in a clinic full of contagious people with my sick kid. I love my life. Really.

Avery is reading over my shoulder. Having a kid that can read is crazy. She's laughing now cause she read this... giggling out loud now... All out laughing. I'm writing this part for her benefit, of course, not yours....
