This Year's Winter Cat

Dec 13, 2010 20:40

So, every year I seem to adopt a cat, not because I need another one but because I am too soft-hearted to leave them out to die. Contrary to popular belief, cats (and dogs) are not able to "fend for themselves" in the wild. They are called domesticated for a reason.  I am not talking about outdoor cats that live on a farm and are taken care of but ( Read more... )

::hugs you very, very tightly:: Bless you...that's...that's all I can say. Bless you with all my heart for your kindness--and if I were the one posting that flyer--I WOULD leave that last line in.
::lighting a candle for the little one and wishing it a swift and gentle passage to the arms of Bast when the time comes::

Thanks! Hopefully I will be able to catch the kitty and get it to the vet. It just makes me so sad...

I'd definitely try to catch it with a live trap. Its infection may not be that bad or even not what you think and maybe it can be cured. You can only try your best to save its little life and I hope you do ( ... )

I hope for the best for him but I still have to catch him and I hope I am able to do so. Poor kitties (and doggies too), I hate irresponsible people! I hate people who deem them getting what they want (iPhones, tvs, eating out) as more important than the responsibility they took on when they got the animal!

My youngest cat Percy was found outside last year when she was around 6-7 weeks old. She is a lovely, sweet cat and her former owner has no idea what they've missed out on!

I know, three of my jerks were abandoned kittens and the oldest on was a feral at my mom and dads, although by the time I got him he was living inside because my dad is a softie!

Ugh that makes me so mad and sad too! I had to pick up my kitty and hug him for a moment. I could never throw my babies out into the world to fend for themselves. It's just cruel for people to do that to animals who know nothing more than a life in doors.

You should definitely leave that last line in.

I do the same thing when I see sad things, I hug the poop out of my kitties (ok not really cause that would be messy but I do hug them!) What makes me mad is people who abandon their animals because they can't afford them AND afford to buy a big screen tv with cable!
