The ribs are healed and I got back on a horse yesterday day for the first time in a whole month. I was on of the best trail rides I've ever had.
On saturday Debbie took Caroline, Zoe and I on a two hour long trail ride. We went every where that day. New trails that lead to dead ends, then we back tracked and went on another trail that had a section of water that came up to Reno's (the horse I was riding) belly.
When we came out on Fuller road we saw 3 rescue ponies that had just moved in over the summer. They came running down squealing and bucking at the sight of our horses. A full minute after the ponies took off we heard the loud blast that sounded like a fog horn, that is until it turn to braying. It was a donkey at the top of the hill ^_^
The four of us came to a long stretch of grass were we started cantering. Debbie came up beside me on Trapper. She said, "Your on one of the fastest horses in our barn and I haven't even let him out yet!" For those of you who don't know Debbie, well let's just say she's an anti galloper. But no sooner had the word left her mouth she push Trapper into a gallop, so I took that as a clue that I could too. With Trapper ahead of Reno he thought they were racing. So he kicked it up a notch and flew past him and Deb leaving them in a shower of dirt :D
I had the greatest time yesterday, but I'm defiantly feeling some strain in my shoulders. I knew holding back a horse with the nickname Crash (and for good reason) was going to give me sore shoulders, but I can't complain because I had the time of my life!
