One more week of summer band to go! Woo hooo! Then it's Chicago for a wedding, back to MD, then Stone Harbor, NJ to chill on a beach til it's time to come back to MD for another wedding. Yikes. Life still sounds busy during my summer "break."
Speaking of weddings, finished knitting those blankets. Now I'm working on a shirt for me, using the pretty pink/green yarn I got at MD Sheep & Wool Festival this year. I worked on it a lot outside today at the church picnic (in the shade, thankfully).
Got back into genealogy again. I had already found out a lot about my dad's family a long time ago, but not much about my mother's. But now it's possible to find a lot of records scanned online, like ship manifests and census records and what not. It's pretty cool to be able to find my great-grandfather on a passenger list from a ship when he emigrated from Germany!
