Good gracious hon, that's HUGE! I"m so very glad that you're recovering well. *hugs* I've been praying for you! You should never feel guilty, because your family loves you and they won't see it as "draining resources" merely doing yet another thing to help you feel better :) I don't blame you for wanting to cancel though, I've wanted to back out before to. In fact, on our way to Birmingham for my heart surgery, our car broke down (gas gauge was broken we learned and it was the first time ever I was happy to be stranded. Hubby was stressing out, cause I was supposed to be admitted that day, whereas I was chipper. Hope you get well soon, don't rush back into things too soon! Let your family and friends pamper you! That's an order!

I hope your recovery continues to go well. But continue to relax! Most moms I know start overdoing it as soon as they are ambulatory. Take advantage of the drugs and the help while both are available!

I'm so glad you made the right decision - and that they could even take care of something that size using laporoscopy! Hang in there, and above all, take Sue's advice.

As for the "draining the family's resources for little old me" thing - lie back in your pillows and imagine vividly what their lives would be like without you, and then decide whether caring for yourself is worth it. I'm sure they already know just how worthwhile it is.

Good thing you got that thing out :) Money is a relative thing, yes it's essential but your health is more important.

Enjoy the drugs! And make sure not to sign anything binding on them :p
