Another Birthday Celebration

Oct 23, 2008 07:38

So about a month before my birthday,  Leroy asks me what I would like.  I suggested since his birthday is two days after mine that we treat ourselves to a really nice dinner.  Slowly it evolved to a REALLY REALLY Nice dinner.  Then a REALLY REALLY nice dinner where we dress up.  Then  a REALLY REALLY nice dinner where we dress up and have a different wine with each course.

Well due to my vacation a new puppy and some money issues,  our celebration was put off.  But,  yesterday Leroy suggests we go.  I told him to pick the place and surprise me.  He was going to leave from work so we decided to forgo our dress up clothes. A little disappointed, because I look fabulous in my black dress.   We also decided to go to Massage Envy after wards and have 1 1/2 long massages just to make the evening truly decadent.   Leroy chose Q's at the Hotel Boulderado.  And  it was amazing.

We chose to have the 5 course chef's choice meal with accompanying wine.  OOOO LA LA.  Our first course was the only one where we had the same thing.  It was this delicious tuna appetizer with hearts of palm and cucumber and a sparkling wine.  Second course I had a GIANT scallop and he had Monk fish with different white wines for each of us.  These were both delicious.  And the wines were perfect.  Third course, I had what was called Bacon and Eggs,  It was a very tender pork belly and a poached egg.  Ok I can't really describe it but it was good.  Leroy had Foie Gras,  which he loved.   Fourth course I had Beef Sirlion and Leroy had Lamb.  The wine was amazing.  Ash Hollow Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 Walla Walla Valley.  For the final course they brought out plate of Flourless cake (orgasmic),  bread pudding (meh),  pumpkin goat cheese cheesecake (surprisingly good) and sorbet.

I was pretty tipsy after the second glass of wine and was thoroughly enjoying myself.  I kept asking Leroy to get me a doggie bag so I could  take the back waiter home and have my way with me.  Damn he was hot and smelled delicious.  It was just so wonderful  I would love to do this again only with someone who I wanted to get a room with and go upstairs to complete the experience.  MEEOW

Dinner took us so long that we had to change our 1.5 hours massages to 1 hour.  We should have cancelled all together.  I was drinking a glass of water for each glass of wine trying to stave off a return apperance of my migraine,  so I had to pee through most of my massage.  I did get sober enough to drive home.

It was amazingly special.  It was outrageously expensive.  It was truly decadent.  And it was another thing to cross off that bucket list of mine.

I love my BGFF.  He is amazing.  He takes care of me when I am sick.  He holds me while I cry. He counsels me when I am sad.  He talks about sex and relationships  from a males point of view (these can be some damn funny conversations).  He supports me.  He reminds me to take care of myself and spoil myself.  He picks me up from the airport.  He cooks me dinner and makes me wierd things. He would come when I needed him.  He would bring me bus boys, it he didn't think I would chicken out.  =)  I am truly blessed to call him my best friend.
