WTH?

Is this some kind of a game?

These people are probably doing it for the lulz and will surely retract their bids when the time comes. Worst thing that can happen is they don't pay, they will get a negative feedback and be flagged (3 strikes are needed before you are temporarily suspended, though).

Ebay: radeon 5970

Reading the description:

"my patner has left me so i am clearing out all his stuff and i came accross this and i thought i would try and see if anyone would buy it, im not sure what it is but it was in his pc draw and he was always spending money on upgrading his pc bits and pieces and it might be expensive, i cant really tell you anymore as im not very computer literate and dont have a clue about them.

please note that item is sold as seen in the photos and im not sure what it is or if is complete or anything really sorry.

however it looks in mint condition and must be worth something to someone."

AND.... (I bet this is what got on people's nerves).

"ANYONE BIDDING WITH LESS THAN 20 FEEDBACK WILL HAVE THEIR BIDS CANCELLED AND IT WILL BE SOLD TO THE NEXT HIGHEST BIDDER, SORRY BUT RULES ARE RULES!"

It seems that some geeks are trying to pull a prank and troll this poor lady who is not as savvy when it comes to computers >_<. The seller's fees are gonna be astronomical!

That is IF the listing is real and not some bigger prank done for major LULZ! (But WHY?)

UPDATE: The auction ended but ALL the bids are GONE!!

It's very unlikely that EVERYONE retracted their bids. The seller must have cancelled ALL the bids. Touché!
