Dr. Neil Thomason is giving a talk for the Atheist Society called: "Atheists' Distortion of the History of Science"

In Neil's own words (emailed to everyone who took a subject of his, God and the Natural Sciences): "You will have heard much of my argument before, but this time I'll be attacking my fellow atheists' for distorting history. It should be fun."

Obviously, if you haven't taken that subject, you won't have heard the argument before, so the talk should be even more interesting.

Neil is a fantastic speaker. He's funny, and can think on his feet (he's his own biggest heckler). He finds ways to explain complex material in concrete terms. He's enthusiastically interested in everything, and it shows.

Also, he's retiring at the end of this year, and he's only teaching an honours subject next semester. So opportunities to hear him talk are now rare.

I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS ENOUGH.

Time: 8pm
Location: Evatt Room, 1st floor, in the Trades Hall, 54 Victoria Street, (Corner Lygon Street) Carlton.
