fresh starts start with new layouts
You know what this blog needed? A new layout! The old one must have been up since... what, 2005? Geez. This is much better though. And green. <3 Hopefully it'll help me be more confident about posting. And if not, then at least the header title will explain it all. ^^;
I've been sketching a lot lately, but I'm having trouble finding a comfortable spot to draw in. No matter where I sit I end up straining my neck, or my arms/shoulders if I'm laying down. So I figured I'd look into getting a drawing/drafting board since those are angled, yeah? They've been around for centuries, surely they're angled for the benefit of the people using them. I cannot believe how ridiculously expensive they are on online stores. I understand the big fancy wood tables being thousands of dollars what with all of the space and compartments and etc, but the small portable boards? No excuse. The air shipping for them is even more ridiculous. So you know what? I'm just going to make my own! Screw them and their $50 shipping fees. Hopefully I'll be able to go to the hardware store this week to see what I can use to make to make the board angle adjustable and keep it in place. After that, it should be relatively easy (if not time consuming) to prepare the drawing board and bottom pencil catcher/ledge. I can't wait.
