Goodbye for now

Five and a half more days until the Nintendo Wii & Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess come out. 5 & 1/2! It's very surreal. Although for the past few days I've been reading tons of articles about the game and system, and watching way too many clips from the game, I'm doing no more. From here on out, I'll only let myself watch the opening movie (seen above), and keep an eye out for the supposed commercials that should begin on Wednesday.

My reasons are that I have already stumbled across two major spoilers for later on in the game. One that appears to be true; and one that shouldn't be because it's insane, but probably will be true anyway. This game is long and is going to be awesome, and I want to enjoy every moment. I want to explore every corner, try every mini-game, do every side-quest, and be totally blown away by every major plot point.

But the world is filled with jackasses who love to spoil things for everyone. I've already had two major things spoiled by them -- I'm not going to risk running into their posts again. Therefore, I'm leaving the internets for a while. I don't know for how long; LJ has become like a second home to me. I'm sure the Avatar & Pokemon comms will probably be safe, but curiosity will always get the best of me and I'll wander to less-safe comms. So it's better this way.

Although I have no pre-orders, I plan on looking for the game on Wednesday, and the system on Saturday night. looking for the game & system on Sunday morning. Wal-Mart doesn't open until 6am, so I guess I'll start waiting outside around 3am. I'll post my findings (or lack of) later that day, but either way I will still be leaving. Distant Horizon will most likely not be affected by this though. The site updates have been incredibly slow this year -- with or without this game, the update pace will remain the same. Woo.
