Bro, I can relate - completely. I don't want to go into my day but rest assured, I feel the same. I don't even know what to write! I feel numb - when something consumes you to the point where your soul is suffocated, then you keep on declining, declining, declining, until all that is left of that sweet taste of iman and submission is a very faint memory. I really pray that Allah ta'ala helps us all, ameen. I wrote something in my away message which is similar to what you said about distracions -> "One of the defining characteristics of the younger Moderns is what is known as Sloth, one of the Seven Deadly Sins. This young Modern works hard, make no mistake. S/he has, however, no concern for the soul. The Modern world has provided enough sensorium, enough reality TV shows, movies, and various other sights and sounds, along with a hundred different ways to make oneself "too busy", that people feel that they simply "do not have time" for deeply thinking about why they do what they do. Modernity is a project in meaninglessness. It is the ugly meandering of a purposeless humanity, wandering like drunkards into a bleak nothingness." I feel like that sometimes. Like the Qur'an asks - "where then are you going?" these days it is often I find myself saying, "I have no idea."
