My foot is still fractured i think, still sportin the air cast, but alhamdulillah i'm pretty much fine. insha Allah i should be fine in a couple more dayz, plz make du'ah.
school is reallllllly tough
i kno none of u really care but here i'm just gonna get some thoughts down about the clases i'm taking,
OS's: should be an interesting class, prof is really boring, insha Allah i'll just stick w/ the TA and the text book. It also meets during jummah. Oh heres a funny story. So last semester i knew i had to take this class and saw that it was conflicting w/ jummah so me and like 4 other broz came to her office. I'm the one doing teh speaking, and as you may or may not know i look maaaaaadd white and plus i was wearing a kufi that day. So anyway, i'm the one doing the speaking and like theres like 5 other pakistani brotehrs behind me and u know pakistanis are not as white. In any case, i explain to her that we have prayers on friday and stuff and then she tells me what to do and blah blah blah and then at the end she's like "so what religion are you guys, jewish?"
hahahhahhhahha, man that was pretty funny. At least it was at that time.
Comp Arc: Gonna be a really hard class, therez no curve at all. The prof is really freakin smart, he's work w/ like SONY n TOSHIBA, he's also working on a superconductor 100 GHz processor, damn 100GHz that's freakin fast.
electronics lab: Should be okay, i messed up on this class before, insha Allah it'll take a lot of time but insha Allah this class shouln't be as hard as the other onez.
Integrated Electronix: I think this class is gonna be a challenge, but insha Allah it shouldn't be too hard. Seems pretty interesting as well. insha Allah gonna be makin a lot of integrated circuts aiiiagh
Intro to Comp Sci: Insha Allah this should be my easiest class. I mean like I hear that half the ppl end up failing and stuff but thas only cuz its a 100 level class (its a req for my major and i didn't take it yet) and all these freshmen just come in and lower teh cureve =)
Senior Design: AIght so this is prolly the most interesting class, its senior year and i gotta work on some kind of design. I'm not sure on which project i should work on but i think its gonna be w/ something to do w/ microprocessorz.
yeah so thas about it, other than school, the MSAs been on my mind constantly. So theres one thing u gotta realize, there is some sectarian divisionz in my school, i dont wanna over simplify the situation and just say that theres the typical salafi/sufi hate goin on but that's just one of the issues or i should say problems. Other than that, i dunno i'm kind of feeling this overall apathetic feeling that everyone has.... I dunno. Therez also the issue of like cliquez among the broz, which is pretty annoying. Damn gotta address all of this insha Allah. The first one (sufi/salafi hate) is gonna prolly be the toughest, i dunno. Both sides seem pretty stubborn, i dunno, maybe i'm speakin out of my own ignorance, or maybe i'm being too idealistic? too naiive? Allahu 'alam.
Aight so next week insha Allah theres gonna be this huge MSA meeting, going to push that insha Allah. Plus the annual picnic isnext week, hey speaking of which: YOU ARE ALL INVITED TO ATTEND THE PICNIC ...... cuz i know all of you guyz are outside of NY hahhhaha
but seriously tho, if u happen to be in teh LI area, come thru to the picnic. We're gonna have bball tourney, softball, soccer, frisbee (i think), cricket, sisters are gonna b playin volleyball. Insha Allah we'll have hot dogz and burgers (obvious halal) and stuff. Stony Brook MSA rocks!
other than that, i like being back in school, alhamdulillah feels good to be getting organic turkish roast coffee from seawolvez, chillin in the music library w/ the laptop, makin salat in jammat w/ the broz in the prayer room, chillen in the Lounge w/ the broz, eatin halal lunches and dinnerz w/ the broz, makin wudu in the wudu stationz, calling up my friends who are in the same lecture w/ me during the lecture to see if their phones are on, lol i caught one of my friends today (man he was so pissed).
oh man i just rememberd my cuz's wedding is in two dayz ...... man i wonder if my suit is clean ... i'm pretty sure it is. man this wedding is gonna b so ummmm i dunno insha Allah hopefully i'll have a good time hanging out outside w/ fam taht ihaven't seen since the last wedding ...... Just so you know the afghan weddingz in my fam ( like 99% of them) are madd crazy, and even tho i'm not a mufti, i think they're haram. Women dress madd scantly and men act so arrogantly. Insha Allah my wedding is gonna b madd islamic,i'm gonna have like Sami Yusuf come and sing, hopefully no one will start dancing when he does "Allahu" - hehe
