Genetic accidents
Sometimes sim genetics will give you surprises. Pleasant ones and not so pleasant ones. Yesterday they trew me a not so pleasant one.
My A generation is growing up more or less beautifully and are finding more or less attractive mates. Arabella Carter found her three bolt love in an old family friend: Bruce Gregory, a downtown wealth sim with the no. one default face. The face everyone finds pretty. I always try to give my playables the mates they want themselves, but I'm always happy when that sim also is good looking - you know 'OMGZ! Pretteh babeyzzz!!'
Or something like that. I'm too old, uncool and non-English to get stuff like that right. Anyway! 'Bella and Bruce had their first child yesterday. Actually, they managed to have two girls, but the youngest one is still a baby. Their older daughter, Brooke, spun into toddlerhood and came out a Gemini like her dad: outgoing, active and not too nice. Yay! Something besides Aries! Unfortunately she's not the prettiest toddler around.
Brooke looks quite a lot like her grandpappy Joe Carr-Carter.
I sound awfully shallow, don't I? It's not that I have to have only good looking sims. It's just that with her parents' rather good and 'neutral' non-explodey looks it took me by surprise. I wonder if she'll grow into her face. Or rather, whether she'll ever grow a long enough nose to make up for her thin Joe Carr-lips *lol*
