FWIW interesting angle on upcoming PG/CKR/DM flicks
Trying to find more information on BLINDNESS, I googlestumbled across this interesting article, an interview with Niv Fichman, the hottest producer in Canada, apparently - he's involved not only in BLINDNESS (DM), but also SILK (CKR) and PASSECHENDAELE (PG, that film he's been dying to make forevah). Here's hoping the international money that got 'star' names in the cast of SILK and BLINDNESS means a wide US release for both!
In the course of my surfing, also found out that BLINDNESS will be chock full of Canadian faves - Martha Burns, Susan Coyne (S&A) Sandra Oh, Maury Chaykin (WW)... AND, found an update on the Toronto filmfest, which announced that SILK would premiere there, and that Bruce McDonald's latest, THE TRACY FRAGMENTS starring Ellen Page (WW), would also have its North American premiere.
