MJ Charity Raffle!
It's the Third Muskrat Jamboree Charity Raffle!
Here's how it works: raffle tickets will be on sale throughout the con weekend. You buy tickets to win prizes that have been donated by your fellow attendees. The more tickets you buy, the greater your chances to win!
After the con is over, we take the money that YOU donated (every single cent!) and pass it along to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins sans Frontières. MSF provides independent, impartial assistance to populations in distress, to victims of natural or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflict. They do so irrespective of race, religion, creed or political convictions. 100% of the proceeds from the raffle will go to MSF. In 2009 our attendees donated $1,060 to MSF; in 2011 they donated $ 1,187 - let’s try to beat that this year!
Your fellow fangirls have donated some absolutely amazing items this year as prizes for our raffle. We have jewelry and knitted accessories that have been hand-made by amazing craftswomen! We have books and fannish themed items! All provided by generous fangirls.
Tickets for the Raffle are $1 each. BUT! If you spend $10 you get 12 tickets, and if you spend $20 you get 25 tickets!! Raffle tickets will be on sale during pre-registration on Thursday, March 21st between 7 and 8:30pm. They will also be on sale at the Reg Table between 8am and 4pm on Friday, March 22nd, and between 9am and 2pm on Saturday, March 23rd.
The Raffle drawing will be held in the Con Suite at 2:30pm on Saturday, March 23rd! You DO NOT have to be present to win, so don't worry about missing an awesome panel during that time! However, you (or a designate) must present the winning tickets at the Reg Table before 4:45pm on Saturday.
