I was just wondering, since there isn't much to do around here... Would anyone care to join a book club? Vietnam and I were thinking of hosting club discussions at our houses every month. I'm inviting any interested lady here in Mayfield, since we don't get as many opportunities to do actual work. And if you're like me, you're probably bored out of your mind here.
Even if you're not used to reading regularly, we could entice you with food! I'm prepared to bake pastries and cookies for every meeting. Come for the literature, and stay for the company. This way everyone will be able to make new friends. It would be nice to have fellow housewives at our club, and due to the quality of the literature-- which reminds me! As much as I adore the young ones, this is for "adults only". Sorry, dears! And since this is a housewives club, this invitation is for ladies, only. Men need not apply.
