This first week has been rather hectic. Are things always this eventful at this school?

All in all it's been rather fun, although I'm not entirely sure the eagles in the common room is a good idea. I just hope no-one gets hurt.

I think that eagles are safer than snakes, in any case. Easier to avoid, at least.

You have snakes?! Yes, they probably are more dangerous. You should make sure Gilbert everyone is careful. There certainly was never anything like this back in France.

Snakes embody the values of a Slytherin, apparently. I'm a bit insulted by that, to be honest. I don't think there have been any major injuries yet, though.

Interesting that all four houses seem to have their values embodied by such dangerous animals.

Well, that's a relief.

I couln't say, I'm afraid. Although the people, at least, don't seem especially dngerous.

No, but one can't be too careful.

More cautious than cynical, I'd say.

I suppose. Still, I prefer to think the best of people until proven wrong.

Oh, don't get me wrong, so do I. People simply tend to prove me wrong rather quickly. Not in any specific incidents, mind, just in general.
