Happy Entry :)

Stuff is pretty rockin' so far. I won't lie to you.

1) the room is B-E-A-UTIFUL. Like, a combination of Lafayette and Brittany, but four girls (the Laf part) with mucho MUCHO space (Brittany) and the carpeting removed (Laf) and a higher-up view (Brittany) ... I could go on, but it doesn't matter. I should take pictures before we trash it, haha. But I really like it. And my suitemate Danielle is really cool, though she's always out, and my rooommate who was last to arrive at 12amish and her boyfriend seem really cool, though she left at 11am yest. and hasn't been back since (and it's 9:21 in the morning). And Jhumur and I hang out a lot, which is pretty rockin'.

2) Being sooooooo close to Elle and Jeanette is really choice. I mean, sure last year I was IN their room, but now I can see them (well, not RIGHT now 'cause their shades are drawn, but you get the point) and Ellen can IM me and say "come over and watch fresh prince of bel air with us" at 12:30 or whatever and I can. I can just walk across the courtyard and sort of be in someone else's dorm, but at the same time, feel safe about walking there alone, and then on top of all that, see two of my favorite girls in NYU history.

3) Green Day tonight. Let's type that again. Green Day T o n i g h t . My heart's all a-flutter. You know how I feel about them. All three of them. Every song they've ever sung. And I love the tense of 'sung' rather than 'sang'. And I feel so alive right now just thinking about that live music.

4)I feel a little popular right now. Not popular. U know me. Loved. Like, people actually calling my cell phone. I hope it lasts. I know we're all gonna get stressed out and busy and it's not always going to be like this, but I really can't express to you how good it feels to have my phone go off. Even if it's just a 'I saw a girl wearing an orange hoodie today and it reminded me of you' 10 second phone call. A text message is nice too, but there's something about hearing the voice of someone I love when I absolutley can't see them and I miss everyone all day everyday ... please call. And I'll call you, and you'll be glad to get a phone call (even if it IS from me). There.

5) I had a great time at Jess' on Tuesday(?). She was supposed to come here to visit me and Frank on his birthday and me 'cause I haven't seen her since May, but she couldn't because she had a root canal the day before and was sick from the meds. So I went to Queens. And gave her her birthday presents. And we talked about an apartment with her, her friend Anita, and her guy friend Jesse the one who paints, for senior year. And I have to admit, that sounds amazing. I still wanna hold out and see if I'm an RA, but living with Jess again would be AMAZING. And she hadn't packed when I got there at like 1:30, and her plane was leaving at 11 ... so we packed up all her stuff in about 3 hours. And I actually had fun packing stuff up with her, and eventually Lee too.

6) I feel more relaxed about stuff this year. Like, I know classes haven't started yet so that's subject ot change, but I'm in much more of a 'hey, let's go out' kinda mood. Maybe being all alone in Massachusetts really helped my New York social life after all.

peace easies for now, children. hope school isn't kicking your ass too much yet.
