Thusly watched also sat Jearith Yeros, King of Caer Kyne, upon his throne, the eyes of his administrators and coutiers ever upon him. Though times were indeed as prosperous for the country as the marketplace of the capital city indicated, he knew that his own country was not as well protected as his city. For five years had he pondered upon the destruction of Kalbayn and the sense of foreboding brought with it. Not a month had passed before dignitaries and ambassadors from Caer Draconym came to apologize profusely for the incident and offer funding for the clearing and reconstruction of the city and the healing of the residents. There was, of course, no worry of war, for how could any country defend itself against an entire country populated mostly by dragons? However, the fear of invasion was ever present in the minds of all, especially the king's. The High Speaker for Caer Draconym explained the incident as an escape of a particularly powerful criminal, and his praise of Kalbayn's successful execution of this deliquent was of the highest honor.

However, a month later, an extinsive letter arrived from the administrator of Kalbayn, who had been fortunate enough to be among those that survived the destruction of the city. The letter arrived with the seal of the king binding it.
