AN: Definitely not the best thing I've ever written, but I wanted to get something out. jbangelo, I'm going to write something else since this didn't turn out the way I wanted it to.
So tiny. So small. So precious. So very pink. He thought as he looked down at the hands cradling the little pink wailing baby, that he had been told was his daughter. It had been years since he had given any thought to having a family of his own, and long before that he hadn’t thought he had the right. Everything had changed when he had fallen for his best friend.
He hadn’t meant for it to happen as they had spent years on the run from authorities out to hurt them, but mostly on the run from the feelings that they had developed for each other out of the devastation that had taken those they had come to care for. It had taken some well placed advice, an embrace in a locked closet, and lots of courage to admit what had been between them so long.
Reaching out tentatively to his daughter who was now being cuddled against her mother, he found his fingers grasped in a small pink fist. Startled he looked up at the woman who had changed his life for the better. Taking in the radiant yet tired smile, he thought that just maybe pink would be his new favorite color.
