It's sad how people seem to underestimate the power of dry pencil eyeliner. It's all cool and good to have gel, and liquid as well... but why has it become bragging rights to be able to apply liquid eyeliner well... like what?!?! Moreover, most people go a bit too far when given liquid eyeliner to play with. It's all well and good if you're on stage or modelling.. but in everyday life, too much eyeliner just makes you look strange and slutty. Stick to the dry eyeliner if you can't control how much you draw in...
If you are confident of your application skills or you like looking strange, (hm), Shu Umera has my favourite liquid eyeliner.
The texture of this one is beautiful and it slides onto your eyelid perfectly. I used to use SPLASH liquid eyeliner but that really wasn't quite good because of the texture, it would stick to the brush and result in a splotchy mess. But Shu Umerea is really good at it, as the liquid slides onto your eyelid and dries quickly. That really helps to prevent smudging, you just gotta maintain that position for about 5secs and it should be set. This also means that you'd best be quick with your application. But it's a worthy tradeoff. There's a just right amount of shimmer in the liquid that makes for a pretty finish as well.
The applicator comes in the shape of a brush, and you have to turn the bottom of the tube to release more of the liquid. it helps to prevent the makeup from drying up but it doesn't work very well. Most times, when i do turn the bottom, a whole clump is released and i end up wasting most of the clump. Sigh.
The brush is very easily to use with it's fine tip. However, please be careful to ensure that there isn't a whole lot of makeup surrounding the brush when you use it because it'd mess up your application.
