I knew what special meant: ‘different from what is usual.’
I knew what my parents meant when they told people I went to a school for ‘special’ children - that I was different.
Even at Hogwarts - I only felt different, never ‘special’.
Until the day after the Voldemort’s final defeat; Ron took me in his arms, his mouth and hands hot on my flesh, claiming my body as his.
That’s when I realized was there’s more than one way to be special. It also means ‘belonging specifically to a particular person.’
To Ron, I am special - and I finally feel it.
