Inspiration (PG)
Despite the comfort and familiarity of her Hogwarts bed, sleep eluded Hermione. With the long train ride, her many Head Girl duties, and the very late night she had spent saying goodbye to Ron, she should have drifted off immediately, but she didn’t.
Inspiration struck as she reached for the Cannons bear Ron had given her, in case she was in need of a ‘cuddle.’ After a few waves of her wand, Hermione gave a contented sigh and drifted off into a peaceful sleep, the furry companion clutched to her chest snoring softly, echoing the sounds of her missing lover.

For the first time in his life, Ron didn’t want to go to bed. Hermione wouldn’t be there and it would be months before he would be able to have her cuddled up beside him, listening to her soft sighs as she clung to him in her sleep.
Giving up he crawled into bed, punching his pillow a few times in frustration, sending the smell of Hermione into the air, her head having graced the same pillow just the night before. Inspired, Ron cast a charm to preserve her intoxicating scent before drifting off to dreams of his missing love.
