tale as old as time
When I opened dreamwidth, it helpfully supplied me with a draft of my 2014 year in review that I... uh... never wrote. And now we're closer to the end of 2015 than the start, so I'm gonna scrap that entirely. Things happened in 2014. The end.

So what have you been up to?
Working, writing, revising my writing, deleting my writing...
Major life changes? Same old same old?
Same old, same old. I feel nothing very exciting has happened in my life in the past, oh, three years. Come back next year, maybe things will be a bit different.
What fandom are you in/do you spend most of your time in?
I fell hard for Mass Effect when I played the trilogy this summer (and played it a second time when L got home), so most of my fannish time has been spent reading fanfic for that. Fem!Shep/Garrus is the closest thing I've had to an OTP in a long time (and always Fem!Shep, never Male!Shep). I've started playing through Dragon Age: Origins, but the world building hasn't grabbed hold of me like ME did, so I'm not sure if I"ll be fannish about it. Maybe when I play the more recent games.
Other than that, I've still been following/enjoying AKB48, and my love of Ace Attorney will never die (Ace Attorney 6 out next year! An anime!). I can't believe it's been my go-to fandom for over 6 years now...
Where do you hang out online?
Twitter, mostly. I don't often look at facebook these days, and I never got tumblr.
What are you reading?
Besides fanfic, mostly academic works. About fandom and fan cultures. I stick to a theme. I haven't ready anything for fun in a while, but I am looking forward to JKR's next Cormoran Strike novel, which I think comes out next month.
What are you watching?
Bob's Burgers and Archer, mostly. I always mean to watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but I never do, and then always manage to watch a bunch of episodes when I'm flying. Oh, and Colbert's new show!
What are you making?
Cross-stitch! I have a bunch of projects that I go between. I really like doing things with my hands, and my fingers don't cramp up like when I try to knit.
What are you squeeing about today?
THAT THE TRADE WINDS ARE BACK, OH MY GOD FINALLY. This is not fannish at all, haha. But the weather in Honolulu has been horrific the past month with all of the hurricanes stealing our winds, and it is finally comfortable outside again. YES.
If you could rope old fandom friends into a new fandom, it would be...
I've been such a solitary fandom-er recently, I don't even know! If anyone wanted info about AKB48, or fic recs for Mass Effect/Ace Attorney, I'm your girl! (I do NOT do anything fan-work related with AKB. Fangirling only.)
