I saw a post that got me thinking. I mean, I think all of the time, but am not always inspired to write. This time, I am.
What is up with my nation. Why does our government spend billions of dollars to bail out greedy and irresponsible companies when hard working Americans are losing their life savings, retirement pensions, can barely afford to feed their families, etc.? The government bails out the companies? Just two days after the bailout some of these company executives spent almost half a million dollars at a SPA RETREAT in California.. massages, champagne,etc.. Apparently they need to sort things out so they could get back to work with a clear head.. Must be nice..
I am infuriated, disgusted, fed up, tired, worn out, and just about plain DONE with the social and corporate 'welfare' system mentality of the United States..
The government gives to those at the bottom and at the top.. those who do not work and deserve NOTHING, and those who make too much and DESERVE NO MORE.. while those of us who are middle class working Americans bear the financial burdens of the other extreme.
We are the Plebians.. its time for our Tribunes to get busy working for OUR interests.. WE ARE THE MAJORITY... what has happened to our "democracy"? Why are our voices not heard, or just ignored? The writing is on the wall.. and WALL STREET gets the bail out?
What about homeowners who have done NOTHING but work hard? What about the single mother with two jobs, shopping for groceries for her children with coupons.. having to forego the fresh produce isle and stock up on pasta, rice, beans, etc... (the 'get you full and fat middle of the store isles..nothing fresh and unprocessed for miles).. Which, by the way leads to unhealthy development, delaying educational processing.. HELLO AMERICA... diet affects mental development..!!! Ever noticed how welfare kids are the fattest? 1 plus 1 = 2.
Well, guess what.. its not just the food stamp moms shopping in the middle of the store.. we all are..
Thanks for that America...
I guess I was mistaken when I thought that going to college and getting two masters degrees and working for a living would provide me with a solid foundation on which to raise my family... my bad.. I should have picked one of the other three options.. politician , mortgage or insurance executive, or welfare recipient.. they seem to be much better off. Forgive the hell out of me for working for a living.
