So ... my car has been leaking lately and I wasn't all that sure what it was. Turns out my aunt knows a mechanic who's not only currently dating her best friend, but at one point or another, dated my mother. So ... he took a look at it this morning and it turns out that my water pump has a whole in it, which is NOT GOOD at all. He said that the part itself would be about $60 but that it would cost more because to get to it, everything else (motor and what not) would have to be removed just to get to the damn thing. Plus, my two back tires are really worn out and practically useless. So ... in all, it's going to cost me about $300-$400 to get the damn thing fixed. I can still drive it and all, but I'm going to have to keep a close eye on the coolant tank and make sure that the levels are kept up. I should have the money by next friday when I get paid again, but my aunt said that she would pay for it as part of my Christmas present.

The tires will have to be done at the shop and can get done sometime this week. Yet, Joe (the mechanic) said that he's going to fix the water pump in his private garage so that it wouldn't cost me as much. The thing is, he's only got weekends available so he said that it could be this coming weekend or, by the latest, the following weekend.

I really don't mind because it's not like I'm going anywhere, except class. And I can still drive it, but if my grandmother has off one day, maybe I'll borrow her car or something, or if it gets really bad, maybe I'll call a cab. Bonnie even said that if I really needed a car that I could just borrow hers and bring it back. I wouldn't want to do that, but it was really sweet of her to offer.

So yeah ... that's it. nothing more to say. I'll update again soon.
