Sydney Pollack

Sydney Pollack passed away yesterday at the age of 73. Though primarily a director, he always made my day when I saw him act in anything. He nailed a very specific and complex type of character - kind of the same one in each movie, but it didn't matter, because what he did was so breathtakingly great.
