....Bedouin Soundclash really needs to come out with a new CD. I know they had there first just last year it was a good CD.

I'm officially freaked-out. The elder Gozzard keeps showing up at Wayne State for some Jazz combo during my Brasswind class.

Coming in October: The Killers release their second album on Tuesday; The Tragically Hip release their album late in the month; as well as many others.

TO THE REVIEW
Songs:
"Los Angeles" by SUGARCULT: Okay, I'm not so fond of the lyrics but the sound is pretty good....okay now I hate the lyrics. Sounds like a control freak.

"Yours To Keep" by Teddybears featuring Neneh Cherry: Big shift in lyrics from the last song. And a better sound too.

"In The Dark Pine-Wood" by Susanne Abbuehl: Sounds like a singer you'd hear in a quiet little jazz club. Nice voice, nice little tune.
Rating: Good

"Barely Listening" by Pilot Speed: Quick like "Los Angeles" (but faster), worded close to "Yours to Keep" (not in the same way). This group has talent and is very noticable.
Rating: Great

"In The Morning" by Junior Boys: I've said it before and I'll say it again: I hate electronic music. This just further cements my prejudice.
Rating: NEXT!

"Nothing to Prove" by Niyorah: Nice sound but a bit harsh on his lyrics. Other than that it's well done.
Rating: Good

"Welcome to the Black Parade" My Chemical Romance: I can't say that I've ever listened to MCR before but I can say that the "former 'People's Choice Winner'" on 89x a few weeks back is really good. Has sort of an 80's feel near the end.
Rating: Cool

Albums:
John Mayer "Continuum": I starting to like "Waiting On The World to Change" better than I did. A little bit of a different sound but still has his style. It's the type of stuff you play to have pesky little kids simmmer down. Needs a little kick of caffine.
Rating: 7.5

BNL "Barenaked Ladies are Me"(Deluxe Edition): They said they were gonna try to go back to the sound they got earlier in their career. Well, it's not "Gordon" but it's pretty close. Again, more stuff to calm down with. But it's got a kick of something with "Something You'll Never Find", "Easy", "Bull In a China Shop" and "Running Out of Ink" (definitely the best song). FYI, I'm not saying that everything else on this album is boring.
Rating: 19 (A deluxe album needs a deluxe rating)
