This morning I got up at 8am, then at 9 my sister and I went to the high school to clean the scene shop with our theatre friends. Our community theatre and our high school(Massaponax) share the theatre space. So a bunch of the seniors came to clean cause they were all done with exams and now excited about graduation tomorrow(Friday). Then Alex Mills also helped out(he's a rising junior.) Matt who graduated with me also came over to help clean. Matt's studying@Longwood to be a Drama Teacher..he's going to get Ms. Kemps job after he graduates. It was a fun time putting away all kinds of props and stuff with all of us there! We stayed till about 12:30 ish then Ms. Kemp(drama teacher& artistic director for Staagedoor Productions Community Theatre) let Bek drive her husband's Sean truck hahaahha and we picked up Kaitlin her daughter then headed to the dump with stuff from the scene shop and then we picked up lunch at Chick-fil-a and headed back to the high school. I visited Mr. Barton(chorus),Ms. Jones(english) and Mr. Koch (Band & MP2)--so it was nice to talk to them too.
Then after the 4 of us smushed into Mr. Kemps truck(seats 3 people)...Ms. kemp drove Bek & I home. Soon my Mom got home and I went with her to buy a few last mintue things for Bek's Graduation Party! It's at Bek's best friend Gretchens house...she lives in our neighborhood but has a 1 acre long backyard so we can all stay outside...my yard has a lot more trees. We are planning on getting Almon's BBQ from downtown then we have a smoothie maker, snow cone maker, Star Wars Gummies, Spinning Lollipops(look like multicolored windmills), huge jar of olives, jar of mushrooms, cheese cubes(that I will be cutting up in the morning at 10AM), maraschino cherries, minatures gummy pizzas, tub of pretzels/cheese crakers assortment, WATER balloons(courtesy of Gretchen's Grandfather), volleytball net, horseshoes, tiny umbrellas for smoothies, nachos and cheese like what MP2(marching band) bought at the football games, fruit trays, cow tails and I'm sure i missed something. SO as I mentioned my day will probably be busy with setting up for the party, eating lunch/dinner when my family arrives from out of town...about 2:30 cause Bek has to be down early and graduation starts at 5. Then getting seats for Graduation..probably around 3:30-4. Then graduation...i think 400 something grads & awards, & all kinds of students who have to speak and Mr. Rodkey too. So then the party is immediately after graduation.. It will be a busy day but a WHOLE lot of FUNNNNN!!!
Then Saturday I have to make sure all my stuff is ready for 2005 State 4-H Congress at VTech. It is going to be soooo awesome I can't wait till Sunday!!! Mon-- checke in, dinner, district meetings, opening assembly/African Drum performer too, informal dance. Tue--compettitions, district metting, voting, CONGRESSIONAL Games!!!!--over 20 sport game & scavenger hunt, marbles, bowling...competing against the other districts(6 districts & about 700 delegates attend congress), Wed--set up for dance, All- Star Induction(=Eagle Scout), Donor Recognition Banquet(dress up all fancy)then off to the Share-the-Fun [talent] show and then to the formal dance where the new cabinet is announced...awww and we have our last dance as Cabinet, then back to the dorms about 12AM and pick up pre ordrered pizzas, the Thurs- get to sleep in(except for new cabinet-they have to be up at 7:30 AM for a breakfast together and then they head over to the tech building and get pictures taken. Since I'm on Cabinet I get there a day early(Sun) to put delegate packets together and all kinds of other stuff then every night we have a meeting as Cabinet so we don't get to bed till pretty late..but it is sooo awesome so it's ok haha. Sp Sunday I will arrive about 1pm then do all kinds of stuff for about 4-5 hours then head to dinner, maybe more stuff adfter that, then of to the movies in Blacksburg for cabinet tradition of seeing movie Sun night! The wake up really early Monday and prepare for the delegates to start arriving around 11:30 and then see all of our creative ideas and planning come together as the week travels on!! We have a lot of fun things planned for the delegates..our theme this year is Go Wild with 4-H becuase of all the different opportunities & activities 4-H offers..so like a Jungle with a variety of animals and plants, 4-H offers a wide range of activities to age 5-19. Throughout teh week one of the cabinet members is going to randomely show up at events dressed a monkey but no one will know who it is. But I am so excited about 4-H being so close but I need to head to bed so i can be rested for the exciting day I have in the morning!! Congrats Bek!!!!!!!
