Military Update

As most of you know (maybe all by now I'm not sure) I have been considering joining the military. I've been doing research, talking to recruiters, and trying to decide if this is what I want to do. Well it is indeed what I want to do. After a lot of consideration I have decided on the Marine Corps. I had an appointment with SSgt. Moore today

you made your choices man and alli can do is respect you for it...not only did you choose the hardest way to go in...enlisted...*shivers* you also joined the meanest branch....*marines go in first (or so their side of the debate says)*.....and the branch that has the least real word jobs after you are done save for more government work.....

military brat remeber...thought about signing up myself...did all the research....if i go i go with my degree and get placement as an officer....you know about htat i am sure the recuiter told you....there is a seprate boot camp for it and all that jazz....and officers do not do as much of the grunt work as enlisted but they get hella more pay....my father was an enlisted man...mom was on promotion to Major before the accident......trust me i know a thing or two....you can be an AWSOME enlisted soilder and still never get to go to Officers Training SChool....recuiters tell you there is hope but in the end the reality of that is smaller than any enlisted man would like to think.

Of all the branches the NAvy has the best job opportunities after you finish your terms, the Air Force is second. Look it up and ask around you will see that.

Finally Marines have the stricktest PT programs and harshest mental games...that i guess would not bother you but it bothers me a little for the if and when i sign my life away......friend of gabes got a section 8 because of what boot did to him....think on that

WEll, i gave teh biggest caviates there are but more than likely you hvae made you dissicions and you are set and ready to go and what i said above means next to nothing but i needed to say it so i know that atleast i tried to make you aware...if i said nothing that would suck eggs and i rarely see you or i would have told you all this in person....but at the moment i am 250 miles away on my own adventures......

last thing, i promise, if you are sent anywhere, and you will be, don;t be the hero, be a good soldier, but don;'t be the hero, too many people love you and would miss you if something terrible should happen to you.....that includes me....so you know
